Prepare a property-report enquiry with a reusable brief for the address, purpose, valuation date, deadline and available records, plus links to report guides.

Request a quote

Prepare for your report

Start your property-report enquiry with the address, what you need the report for, who will receive it and any deadline. Use the brief below to organise your notes before requesting a quote. Write “Not sure” for details that have not been confirmed.

  • The full property address and property type.
  • The purpose of the report and the person or organisation receiving it.
  • The required valuation date, if different from today.
  • Any deadline, access arrangements, plans, leases or construction documents.

Copy this property-report enquiry brief

Select and copy this blank brief into your own notes, then replace the brackets. Use it to complete the report quote form; the form’s “Anything else we should know?” field can hold the extra instructions.

Property address: [street, suburb, state and postcode]
Property type: [house, unit, commercial or other / not sure]
Report requested: [report type / help me choose]
Purpose: [what the report is needed for / not sure]
Intended recipient: [person or organisation receiving the report]
Valuation date requested, if relevant: [current value, nominated past date or not sure]
Report needed by: [preferred delivery date / no fixed deadline]
Available records: [list what you already have]
Access notes: [arrangements or questions, if relevant]
Questions for the quote: [scope, format, fee or timing to confirm]

List the records you have rather than pasting documents into the notes field. Leave out identity documents and financial account details.

Not sure about a detail?

The quote form includes “Help me choose a report”, “Not sure” for valuation purpose and date, and “Help me choose” for the valuation format. Use these choices where needed and explain your question in the notes.

If your adviser has not confirmed a valuation date, write “Not sure” in your brief. Keep the nominated valuation date and your preferred report-delivery date on separate lines.

For more than one date or purpose, add a separate line for each request, pairing the purpose, nominated date and intended recipient. Put these details in the form’s notes and ask Propti to confirm the scope and quote.

Choose the right starting point

For background before you enquire, read the desktop, short-form and full valuation comparison or the guide to historical valuation evidence.

Check the intended recipient’s requirements

A report prepared for one purpose may not be suitable for another. Confirm scope and acceptance with your lender, accountant, solicitor or other adviser before instructing the work.

When your notes are ready, request a property-report quote. Propti coordinates the enquiry and connects you with the appropriate professional, who prepares the report. The total fee is confirmed before you proceed.
